MILWAUKEE (Oct. 30, 2019) – Cousins Subs® today announced four Wisconsin nonprofits as recipients of a combined $5,000 in grants through its Make It Better Foundation . The organizations will use the funding to support programming that addresses the vital community needs of hunger, youth education and health and wellness.

“Cousins Subs is local at heart and we’re proud to support the life-changing missions of four incredible organizations that share our steadfast commitment to making it better for Wisconsin children and families,” said Justin McCoy, Vice President of Marketing at Cousins Subs and Make It Better Foundation Board Member.

Recipients of a $1,000 or $2,000 grant from the Make It Better Foundation include:

• All Saints Catholic School – The school will use its $1,000 grant to purchase age-appropriate books to stock the shelves of its new library, which serves students from Kenosha and Racine counties. • Giving to the Nations, Inc. – A $1,000 grant will provide personal care and household cleaning products to the Racine area residents the organization serves. • Interchange Food Pantry – The pantry will use its $1,000 grant to increase the number of healthy food choices available to the Milwaukee-area children and families it serves. • Wisconsin DECA – A $2,000 grant will send the organization’s eight qualifiers to the International Career Development Conference in Nashville, Tenn.

Since the inception of the Make It Better Foundation in 2013, Cousins Subs has supported its local communities through monetary donations to nonprofits, education scholarships and food aid. To date, the foundation has donated over $500,000 to more than 75 benefiting nonprofit organizations.
