Make It Better Foundation and partner, Donald Driver, name Audrey Rabitz of Manitowoc<\/p>\n
Lincoln High School as the second-place winner of a $2,500 Driven at Heart<\/p>\n
Scholarship.<\/p>\n
Rabitz<\/p>\n
is one of four Wisconsin high school senior finalists who took home<\/p>\n
scholarships as part of the inaugural Driven at Heart scholarship contest. She<\/p>\n
was selected as a finalist due to her ability to excel academically while being<\/p>\n
a three-sport athlete and dedicated community volunteer.<\/p>\n
In<\/p>\n
high school, Lamers participated in<\/p>\n
track, cross country and gymnastics, while taking several college preparatory<\/p>\n
classes and maintaining a stellar GPA.<\/p>\n
In addition to sports, Rabitz is a member of the<\/p>\n
marching and concert band, National Honor Society, School Newscast and Vice<\/p>\n
President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. She competed at the state<\/p>\n
level in band, track, and gymnastics.<\/p>\n
Through<\/p>\n
her hard work, Rabitz obtained a 4.0 GPA and will continue her academics and athletics at St. Cloud State University as a<\/p>\n
part of the pre-physical therapy program and a member of the track team.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe<\/p>\n
driving factor of all my achievements on and off the field has come from<\/p>\n
motivation to be my best self that others can come to for comfort,\u201d she said. \u201cI<\/p>\n
am honored to be recognized as a highly motivated high school athlete with<\/p>\n
potential to continue to make a difference to those I meet in the future. I am<\/p>\n
extremely grateful for the financial support to pursue my education.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rabitz is Dalton Hoehn of Mauston, Wis. who also received a $2,500 scholarship,<\/p>\n
and first-place winners, Ava Lamers of Rhinelander, Wis. and Colin Belton of<\/p>\n
Wausau, Wis., who received $7,500 scholarships.<\/p>\n

alongside the other recipients and their parents attended the Wisconsin<\/p>\n
Athletic Hall of Fame 73rd Annual Induction Ceremony Saturday, April<\/p>\n
1st, where they were recognized on stage during the ceremony by<\/p>\n
Driver and Cousins Subs Vice President of Marketing, Justin McCoy.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese<\/p>\n
four individuals are beyond impressive,\u201d said Driver. \u201cWe had a ton of great<\/p>\n
applicants for our first Driven at Heart scholarship contest, but Ava, Colin,<\/p>\n
Audrey and Dalton stood out amongst the crowd. It was an honor to be on stage<\/p>\n
with these four bright minds and I can\u2019t wait to see what they accomplish in<\/p>\n
the next step of their life journeys.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe couldn\u2019t have<\/p>\n
asked for a better group to represent our first Driven at Heart scholarship<\/p>\n
winners,\u201d said McCoy.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have no doubt they will find success throughout their college years and<\/p>\n
beyond \u2013 these four set the bar high for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cousins<\/p>\n
Subs received nearly 300 applications from stellar high school senior athletes<\/p>\n
through the Driven at Heart scholarship contest. The four scholarship<\/p>\n
recipients were selected due to their academic achievements, community contributions<\/p>\n
and success in WIAA sanctioned sports.<\/p>\n
The<\/p>\n
four scholarships are funded by the Make It Better<\/p>\n
Foundation \u2013 the brand\u2019s nonprofit<\/p>\n
organization that addresses the vital community needs of health and wellness,<\/p>\n
hunger and youth education. Formerly known as the Wisconsin Sports Awards<\/p>\n
Scholarship Contest, the organization has awarded more than $200,000 in<\/p>\n
scholarships to 44 high school students, including this year\u2019s recipients.<\/p>\n
